Personal project reflection - Web

For our final project we were assigned to choose a school appropriate topic and then create a informational website based off of that topic.

During this process I used the layout that we created earlier in the year and then adjusted the css and added content and images to create the website. 

Along the way I learned many things such as to how having multiple css selectors can make changing the css difficult. Also during this project I learned about meta tags, Which are very helpful in having your website be recognized by search engines. Design wise i learned that drastic changes in color are bad and should be avoided at all costs.

If I would go back and do something different I would change the topic slightly to be more specific. However I would keep the same color scheme and background for the site because I feel that they fit nicely together.

From this I have gathered experience and will use this experience such as using layouts and meta tags to make other projects easier and for them to interact with search engines better.

In conclusion my project turned out pretty well, and I will use the experiences that i have gathered along the way of doing this project to better my work in the future.

on this art board i tried out a bunch of different shapes for the e's and experimented with many different fonts. On this art board i selected which shape i liked ( the circle) and tried out a different font to make it relatable to the companies theme ( Elmer's Electric) I then decided to make a lightning bolt going through the E's which i like the look of. Here i tried combining the logo with a font and changing the stroke to fit the size to match the fonts size.

Personal Logo

This is my personal logo. i started by taking the fundamentals we learned about and making more basic shapes that fit into them. i ended up with a contrasting colors kind of diamond. i then tried copying them and trying out diffrent colors i liked the blue and black the most. i then tried making it sideways from the original away. i liked the original the most. i found that this shows symmetry and balance making it a perfect simple yet says some things about me kind of logo. i started with a circle as a base because it simply shows perfection and unity making it a great way to show symetry and balance. i would definatly make more logos and designs with a base as a circle

End of Year Reflection - Web 2018

Reflection 2018 This year in Web Design has been spent forming deeper relationships with not only the other Juniors, but also with the seniors and Mr. Olson who are leaving.  Through these relationships i have learned many things from Technical skills to leadership over the length of this year in e-Communication.  Technology Ive learned so many new technical skills this year. More HTML, More CSS, Wordpress, PHP, Parallaxes, Greater general design skills, and even some Javascript. A good example of these new HTML and CSS skills in action would be my entry to e-Magine this year. I created a website from scratch over how to more effectively learn a language.
